Historic Rittenhouse Square Mansion Sells in Record Time

(St. Davids, August 2015) – On July 21st, the historic Samuel House at 2136 Locust Street came to the real estate market with an unexpected result: in less than 48 hours, the property was sold.

Listed by Brett Furman, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Classic in St. Davids, this four-story Rittenhouse Square stunner, noted on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places and once home to the Italian Consulate, hit the market with an asking price of $3.25 million.

“I expected that a special property like 2136 Locust Street was going to attract a lot of attention,” said Mr. Furman. “But I have to admit I never expected so many serious buyers to step up so quickly.”
